Common questions

A value is red. What do I do?

CuffScan was not sure about it. Compare it with your monitor and tap Looks right, or correct it. Every red value must be confirmed or fixed before you can save.

It could not read my monitor.

Use good light, hold the phone square to the display, avoid glare, and fill the frame with the numbers. You can always type a reading in by hand. Some displays (steeply angled, strongly italic or wrist-worn LED panels) are harder, so these are flagged for you to confirm.

I deleted a reading by mistake.

Shake the phone (or swipe left with three fingers) while the app is open to bring it back.

How do I move to a new phone?

Either turn on iCloud sync on both devices with the same Apple Account, or use Back Up & Restore from the profile menu. Restoring only adds, so it is safe to run twice.

How do I get my data out?

Use Export for a CSV of one profile or all profiles, for all dates or a range.

mmHg or kPa?

Tap your name, then Units. Readings are always stored in mmHg, so switching never changes your data.

Requirements

iPhone or iPad running iOS 27. Devices with Apple Intelligence read photos best; without it, CuffScan still reads with its decoder and asks you to confirm more values.

CuffScan is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. If you are worried about your blood pressure or feel unwell, contact a medical professional or emergency services.
