CuffScan

Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026.

In short: CuffScan reads your photos and keeps your readings on your device. We have no servers that receive your data, no accounts, no analytics and no ads. Data leaves the app only when you choose.

What CuffScan handles

This is health information, so we treat it carefully. It is stored in the app on your device. We, the developer, cannot see it.

How photos are read

Reading happens entirely on your device, using Apple’s on-device models and frameworks and CuffScan’s own decoder. Photos are not uploaded for reading, and the app does not need a network connection to do it.

When data leaves your device

Only through an action you take, each of which is optional:

Permissions the app asks for

The widget

The home-screen widget shows your latest reading using data shared between the app and the widget on your device only.

What we do not do

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete a reading or profile in the app, and deleting the app removes its data from the device. If you used iCloud sync or Apple Health, remove that data as described above. Backup and CSV files you saved elsewhere are yours to delete.

Children

CuffScan is not directed at children. A parent or guardian may keep a profile for a child on their own device.

This website

cuffscan.com is a static site. It does not use cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as needed for that.

Not medical advice

CuffScan is not a medical device. It records what your monitor shows and does not diagnose, treat or advise. Always follow your doctor’s guidance.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, say so in the app.
